Boycott Black Friday.

For those of you who don't know, Black Friday is the Friday after American Thanksgiving where idiots line up outside of Targets and WalMarts at 4am just to race for all the bargains.

It's an absolutely ridiculous means of consumption and has lead to injury and even death.


Last year there were two deaths. One was a WalMart employee who was trampled by customers as he tried to control the crowd, and the other was a man who was shot after a fight over a toy at ToysRUs.



It's actually insane that this is a celebrated holiday in the US. It promotes mindless over consumption of goods and sadly it will probably continue year after year as the government really has no control over giant corporations like WalMart. What is it going to take for people to wake up and see how ridiculous this is? Mass murder?

If you're in the States today do everyone a favour and boycott Black Friday.

LIZ TRINNEAR MAKES THE TOP 4 (Obviously)

Yesterday we bopped down to Toronto for a hot minute to appear on Much On Demand and support Liz as she made it to the Top 4 in the VJ search.

Team Liz!

They first gave Nadine the boot which was excellent as she is not pretty and has a terrible voice, not to mention she is already famous on YouTube which is quite possibly the lamest. Then they gave Jules McKools the boot which was also excellent because he is a 17 year old idiot. Next, was Kelly who I originally though was some good competition, but I always forgot about her because she wasn't as obnoxious as the other blondes (and Nadine). Finally, and MUCH to my surprise, they told Jessy to peace out which was unfortunate for her because she is cute and probably the only reason they ditched her was because they just hired a new VJ with the same name. (Who, I might ad, is the only attractive male VJ Much has ever produced.)



That leaves Liz, Laith, Marlon, and Alli Walker to compete for the big title. I don't pay attention to the guys because the likelyhood of one of them actually winning is slim to none as Devon, Tim, and now Jesse take on Sarah 3 to 1 in the male/female department. Alli Walker claims she is from PEI when she really lives in Toronto and is a Taylor Swift fanatic which alone makes her slightly weird. She also wears horizontal strips on screen (A HUGE NO NO!) and wears obscene amounts of makeup to hide her blemishes (and what I can only imagine are creepy eye veins under all that shadow). She appears to think she has this in the bag so it will be a big surprise for her when December 4th rolls around and Liz takes on her dream job. (Guess she'll have to resort to her plan B: Country Singing JUST LIKE TSWIFT!) Did I mention she plays the bagpipes?

Alli Walker, why?

Keep your eyes on Much as Liz heads to Toronto and hangs at Much till December 4th when they announce the winner!

In New York!!!

Wanted to chit chat about this yesterday but unfortunately my new job at 29Park got in the way of that.

Yesterday some homies and I went down to the United States of Uhmerica to participate in some snow activities at a place that is literally 2 seconds away from the Rainbow Bridge (Niagra Falls boarder) called Snowpark.

This little toy was actually SO much fun. The set up is different now too and way better. $13 USD gets you up this thing to go boarding and tubing. Considering the weather for Ontario is looking putrid this might be a fun thing to do until Mother Nature gets her shit together as it's open EVERY DAY rain or shine!

Burberry- Art of the Trench

Burberry has teamed up with The Satorialist in a project called Art of the Trench. It's basically a bunch of Satorialist-esque photography focusing on people sporting a Burberry trench coat.



What's pretty cool is that you can also submit your own photos of Burberry Trenchs in action. Plus, they play The Kooks for you as you browse. Oh, and Dan Levy (Host of MTV's The Aftershow which I will be watching tonight as the Peak Season saga continues..) has already made the cut. Damn his stylist is trendy. (Though I'm sure he is too.)

I finally have a pair of snowpants that have ZERO holes in them. I'm hoping my needle & dental floss technique will be out of the picture for at least a season. YAY!
They also have vents. Something I am new to as all my old ones were vent free. I feel like a new woman. Can't wait to feel that breeze down my legs on the summery slush days!
